Thousands of Refugees Arriving as Crisis Deepens

Port Cerulean is seeing a significant influx of displaced persons in the evacuated South District. City officials are urging people to leave the evacuated district. Emergency services have set up temporary shelters and services in the Upper Bluffs and Downtown Districts. Contact the City for assistance.

Phase 2 of Harbor District Waterfront Redevelopment Plan Approved

The Port Cerulean Planning Commission voted 7-2 on Thursday to approve Phase 2 of the Harbor District Waterfront Redevelopment Plan, clearing the way for a new mixed-use commercial and transit plaza adjacent to Union Station. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2026, with the project creating an estimated 1,200 construction jobs.

A public hearing on the plan will be held at City Hall. All residents are welcome to attend and address the Council.

PCPD Adds 40 Officers as Part of Downtown Safety Initiative

Port Cerulean Police Chief D. Arnett announced the addition of 40 new officers to the force this week, funded by a community policing grant secured by Mayor Hollings' office. The new officers will be deployed to downtown beats and the Docks precinct beginning October 15th.

Union Station Northbound Rail Service Expanded

The Port Cerulean Transit Authority announced expanded intercity rail service out of Union Station, with new northbound departures added to the schedule effective immediately. Updated departure times are available at the Union Station ticketing window and on the Transit & Rail page.

Art Museum Announces “Steel & Sea” Exhibit Opening September 21st

The Port Cerulean Art Museum and Center will open its highly anticipated fall exhibit on September 21st, exploring the industrial heritage of our waterfront across five galleries. The exhibit includes works by 34 regional artists and rare archival photographs from the docklands.

Free admission on opening night. Regular tickets $8 adults, $4 students. The museum is accessible via the Yellow and Red lines at Union Station.

Lemons Cafe Reopens After Renovation

Lemons Cafe in the Works Quarter has reopened following a renovation, now serving breakfast all day, 7 days a week. Hours are 7:00 am – 10:00 pm daily.

Strategos Acquires Land for New Housing in Financial District

Strategos, Port Cerulean's largest employer, has acquired land in the Financial District for a new residential development. Details on the scope and timeline of the project have not yet been released. The City's Department of Permits & Zoning confirmed the land transfer is on record.
